Sony PlayStation 3The Sony PlayStation 3 is Sonys version of a 7th Generation Games console. It is also currently the best placed out of all the consoles for being the centre of the digital home network as it's quiet, has Blu-ray capabilities built in, supports more file formats and codecs than the Xbox and Wii and has an internet browser, capable of Adobe Flash 9 support.

To add to this, the PS3 also offers an HDMI (1.3a) output (up to 1080p) and also Digital Audio (Optical) Out allowing you to maximise your multimedia experience and connect up to your Home Theatre system. The table below illustrates the multimedia capabilities of the PlayStation 3.
